Energy Guide
Between 1990 and 2005, the amount of energy used to make a hectolitre of beer declined by an average rate of 2.8% per year, representing an overall reduction of one-third in the amount of energy used by the entire brewing sector.
To identify energy saving opportunities for large and small brewers, the Brewers Association of Canada, the brewing industry and Natural Resources Canada have developed an energy guide called “Energy Efficiency Opportunities in the Canadian Brewing Industry”. The Guide is available on request.
